U.S. President Barack Obama has unveiled the National STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) Video Game Challenge as part of the Educate to Innovate campaign. The competition has two parts: one for students and another for game developers. The Youth Prize in STEM learning challenges grade 5-8 students to design original video games. The challenge is open to students from U.S. schools, with an emphasis on students in under-served urban and rural communities.
