Teams at 10 community colleges have been selected to participate in Bridging Cultures, a three-year curricular and faculty-development project that aims to support civic learning and humanities education. The program is financed by the National Endowment for the Humanities and sponsored by the Association of American Colleges and Universities and the Democracy Commitment. Bridging Cultures will feature a summer faculty-development institute this August, collaboration among multiple community colleges, and a symposium in October 2014.
