Hours before the final World Cup on Sunday, South Africa will host the 1GOAL Education Summit to bring together heads of state from Africa, United Nations officials, soccer stars, and political leaders. South African President Jacob Zuma said he would like to see the same concentration of effort his country used to prepare itself for hosting the World Cup be poured into education in the state where millions of students attend schools that do not have regular electricity or running water.Source: Reuters
