The Saudi Electronic University, Saudi Arabia’s first government e-university, hopes to attract 100,000 students over the next 10 years. Designed to substitute off-campus learning provided by Saudi universities, the services it renders will be more flexible in order to adapt to students’ life, work, and location conditions. The university, which will start to receive admission applications from July 25, expects 6,500 students–at least 60% of them women–to enroll in the first semester.
