The Kenyan government has announced it will equip more than 5,000 schools with ICT equipment. Education Secretary James ole Kiyiapi said the plan is part of his ministry’s efforts towards the realization of Vision2030. He said the ministry has already made ICT skills compulsory in all teachers’ training courses and plans to do so in all secondary schools. “Plans are underway to equip all the s condary schools with ICT equipment and infrastructure now that the digitized content in available to different levels for both primary and secondary schools,” Kiyiapi said in Kisumu.
