Representatives of universities, student associations, trade unions, and the realm of politics met in Berlin at the national Bologna Conference to examine ways to put into practice the course reforms agreed on after last year’s student protests. The reforms enable greater transparency in course accreditation, making it easier for students to move from one place of higher learning to another within Europe. In the coming years, the German government will channel two billion euros into university teaching. Source: eGov Monitor
