Worldreader.org, whose motto is “Books to All,” has completed a proof of concept for e-reader use in Ghana. During the trial, Worldreader found that e-readers and digital books helped new readers learn to read, got kids reading more, and provided quick, inexpensive access to hundreds of thousands of books. For example, Project Gutenberg alone offers 20,000 free e-books. The organization plans to do a larger trial with more than 300 readers in for Ghana schools this fall.Source: ReadWriteWeb
