I just read The Learning Society white paper.  It is an outstanding summary of ways to create a new learning system around the world.

From being an educator, an issue that always keeps my mind churning is standardized assessments for students.  There are so many learning styles, yet a comprehensive and fair assessment is needed not only to evaluate students in elementary and secondary school, but for successful opportunities in universities and the workforce.

Please share current assessments that you are using to measure skill development instead of content knowledge?

What have you, your district, or state/country utilized to develop better assessments that can be recognized around the world?
