I’m a fan of iBooks Author… I love the ease of use and richness provided by the multitouch format. However, those who favor OER think the platform is too proprietary. I’ve been asking colleagues about their thoughts on this, and they are quick to point out that iBooks Author files can be published in the open ePub format… although not all functionality will be carried through.

Just joined this group in the hope that I might hear what tools people are using for their publishing that they would recommend or to discover how e-reading has been included successfully in teaching/learning environments. Any comments?
