News University of the People (UoPeople), a free online university staffed by volunteer professors, has earned something of an endorsement from New York University (NYU) with the announcement of a formal partnership between the two institutions that is meant to steer students to NYU’s campus in Abu Dhabi.  more

News University of the People, founded in 2009, will partner with World Computer Exchange in a plan to build communication centers in six developing area over the next six months, enabling students without dependable Internet access to take online courses.
